Need a break from the hustle & bustle of our city lives? Want to catch a glimpse of Singapore's vanished past? Look no further! Pulau Ubin is your answer! =D

Everyone come join everyone in this half-day cycling expedition to Pulau Ubin. Our very last kampong that takes u through the 1960s to sample the simpler pleasures in life. Even that is fast disappearing.

Event: Cycling @ Pulau Ubin (CANCELLED)

Date/Day: 19 March 2009, Thursday

Meeting Time: 8.15am

Meeting Place: YCK MRT Station / Anderson Pri Sch

Remarks:
Depending on the turn out, I can charter our school bus to & fro Changi Jetty. The 2-way charges is $60. Of course, we split the bills. $4 per pax, assuming there are 10 orangs. I will absorb the rest. (",)

Estimated Expenditures:
1) Breakfast @ Changi Village : $4
2) 2-way transport : $4
3) 2-way bumboat ticket : $(2.50 + 2.50)
4) Bicycle rental : $6 - $8 (whole day)
5) Lunch : $6.50 (Assuming 1 fried rice + 1 coconut drink)
6) Thirst quencher : Coconut @ $2.50 each or can drinks @ $1.30 each
Total: $26.80 - $30.00 for a half-day event! =D

Suggested Itinerary:
8.55am - Arrival & breakfast @ Changi Village
9.25am - Bumboat to Pulau Ubin
9.35am - Arrival & rental of bikes @ Pulau Ubin Town
9.50am - Cycle to & explore Chek Jawa Boardwalk, conquer the viewing tower
11.00am - Cycle to Mamam or Noordin Beach
12.30pm - Return to Pulau Ubin Town for lunch
1.30pm - Bumboat back to Changi Jetty
1.45pm - Home Sweet Home
