Alternative Suggestions

Looks like there's a bit of problem here in obtaining parental consent to venture onto Pulau Ubin.

Alternative suggestions:

1) Picnic @ Marina Barrage

Date/Day: 19 Mar 2009, Thursday

Meeting Time: 8.15am
Meeting Place: YCK MRT Station

Visit Singapore's latest icon in town - the Marina Barrage this Thursday!

The Marina Barrage is a dam built across the 350-metre wide Marina Channel to keep out seawater, forming Singapore's 15th reservoir and the first in the city.

Things we can do there include picnic on the greens, kite-flying challenge, getting wet @ the water fountains, enjoying the scenic views around the barrage & learning about the operation of this sophisticated reservoir etc. What's more, we can take plenty of photos there! So do get your cameras ready! =D

R.S.V.P. soon so that we can prepare sufficient food and drinks for the picnic, get our kites ready, and our cameras charged.

Remarks:
Each of us will bring an item for the picnic i.e. sandwiches, drinks etc.

Estimated Expenditures:
1) 2-way MRT rides : $2
2) Shuttle Service from Marina South MRT to Marina Barrage : Free
3) Kites : Not sure (Buy from any mama shops near u)
