Our budding young writer cum artist, Hazel, continued her impressive run this year to clinch the 3rd position in the "Mangaka'07 - Singapore Digital Art Competition". =)
Being her first participation in this event, her prize-winning piece, Neno - The Baby Merlioness, swept 100 over other entries in the same category off their feet to make it to the Top 12-finals yesterday.
It was a hard-fought battle well-won for her in the Junior Category, where contestants are required to cartoonize an historical figure.
We are really happy for u! =) Continue to achieve & remain humble as u always are. (",)
Credits also go to our former resident IT trainer, Ms Lee, who noticed Hazel's talents and encouraged her to participate in this competition. Her guidance is most valuable to Hazel's success. =D Thanks to Jun Yong for making his way down to NLB Orchard to support Hazel too. =)

PS: Mangaka - Manga means "Japanese comics" while ka means "artist/author", so Mangaka means "Japanese comics artist". =)
